Stopped at the "Peace" Bridge

Karen Burke and Brian Lenzo worked together to write a piece of Socialist Worker. It chronicles the trouble that the Egyptian authorities have caused for the Viva Palestina humanitarian aid convoy not to mention the determination that the members have in continuing their trip to Gaza. The successive "reasons" given by the Egyptian authorities amount to nothing more than blatant attempts to discourage and stop the humanitarian aid mission. But with thousands of dollars in medical supplies, many of which are perishable, convoy members refuse to turn back.

The members of the convoy are asking their allies to send in faxes, phone calls, and emails to the Egyptian Embassy demanding that the convoy be let through. You can find out more information from their submission to SW online.
